Our Story

The History of Prayer Plan and the Wild Goose

The Beginning

Praying Plan Missions (PPM) began as a conversation between four men who had been serving in Honduras for a number of years. The conversation centered around how to build relationships with the mountain people of Honduras. These relationships would first center on introducing the people to a relationship with Christ and the vision was to do this by spending time developing relationships with the people by providing for their physical and spiritual needs.

Today

Now fifteen years later we have established relationships with nine villages, with our base located in the mountains of Honduras in a village named Chaguitillos. The last fifteen years we have built bridges by providing, shelter, education, discipleship, health and community to the area. Currently Prayer Plan helps 75 students attend secondary school and we have developed a music academy, teaching students how to play instruments while also planting the seed of God’s Word in them. We also have 96 widows in nine villages that we provide with much needed food and supplies, as well as medicine and health care. Currently we are developing a facility that will house eight widows and a school building for our students. We partner with the people of Honduras as well as churches and teams from the US to fulfill the mission of James 1:27.

What About the Wild Goose?

As the Wild Goose is a symbol used by the Celtics to describe the Holy Spirit, we want nothing more than the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our ministry as we serve the great people of Honduras!
